Deviation Actions
This series of contests has been started to motivate you, the artists, to try new things, to fight with your abilities and to learn things by giving your best. In the end, winning something shouldn't be the important part of the whole procedure, but creating new art and maybe reaching new dimensions concerning your personal skills. Which is much more worth than any prize you can get. But don't worry, there are still many awesome prizes to get!
Beyond the frontier is a series of space and science-fiction art contests. So your entries should fit to this genre from the very first sight. For inspiration and some impressions of what we are talking about, please regard the following galleries as some very nice examples: Science Fiction and Space Art
The topic of our third contest are Lost Lands. These can be some ancient, long gone civilization ruins, barren planets, supernovae remnants, destroyed worlds, even some alien hi-tech "cities of gold", hidden before the eyes of the universe. There are billions of possibilities out there. The only limit is set by your own imagination! So, take us to the Lost Lands!
Timeframe: 2 months | Starting: July 9th | Ending: September 9th, 11:59 PM PST
How to participate:
Submit your entry to the contest gallery Contests->2010->Beyond the Frontier->Lost Lands
* Entries must be made for this contest (no previously created works)
* Entries must be submitted by the deadline of September 9th, 2010 11:59pm PST.
* All visual mediums are welcome (digital, traditional, 2D, 3D).
* All stock must be credited as per deviantART's Terms of Service
Judges: KeremGo + MacRebisz + a volunteer

Update number one - me and my friend have recently taken part in a Moontopia competition, we had to come up with an idea for a Moon settlement/colony. Our idea was a Lunar Space Elevator. Another World - short film
Hey, I wanted to let you know about another indie project I was involved in lately. It's a short film based on Another World game by Éric Chahi. I did concepts for environments, props and also mattepaintings. You can see both the film and making of in videos below.
Another World aka Project 23 emerged a few months ago as an idea for a short film inspired by a well-known game Another World. Initially it was planned as a short promo video for the Pixel Heaven 2014 event, but during months of preparation it became clear that it will be something much bigger.
