This reminds me of the old times on Halo.
The structure in the foreground isn't exaggerated; it seems it could very well exist and contrasts directly with the snow in such a way that adds an illusion of history, information not traded with the viewer and image but still expected to be there. This is what makes it so interesting - adding our own story.
