If you don't mind me asking, how did you get the color effects? Did you just use a normal brush on a normal layer? I tried putting a multi color gradient on a new layer and messing around with the blending mode, but the clouds stayed a solid black, so it looked really bad...
try using hue/saturation adjustments and brushing on a new layer with color on color or overlay blending mode. It all depends on the base picture, you need to experiment to get good results Good luck!
I had always avoided the other methods because I didn't like the idea of using stocks. Using stocks makes me feel like it's not my own work.
