Awesome tutorial, thank you very much! If you don't mind me asking, how did you get the color effects? Did you just use a normal brush on a normal layer? I tried putting a multi color gradient on a new layer and messing around with the blending mode, but the clouds stayed a solid black, so it looked really bad...
This is an awesome tutorial! extremely helpful.. Porblem is my space background making skills suck.. I don't get how you made the backgrounds in the examples.. tried experimenting they turn out no good
Well yesterday I didn't know how to colour my space background yet and I used google images.. Today I learnt it and then used my own cloud photos and experimented a little and ended up with [link] which I think looks cool just the fact that there's a lot of clouds..
And why on earth had I never considered using my own pictures of clouds?!?!?! I had always avoided the other methods because I didn't like the idea of using stocks. Using stocks makes me feel like it's not my own work.
i love this idea but its kinda hard to follow on some of the instructions. like for ex: wut r u supposed to do after phase 2 when u put ur start, also how do u make the stars? how do u make them glow, n so on.
There is no such tool as the grunge tool - there are however grungy looking brushes that you can download and use in PS. Search for "grunge brushes" here on deviantart and im sure you'll find a whole bunch.
